During our tour at Jack Daniels the told us there are different levels of SMOOTH! There's green label, the the black label 'Old No 7' that most of us drink, then the top shelf 'Gentleman Jacks' that is twice filtered, and the very select is 'Single Barrel.'
So when Mel asked us if we would like to crack a fresh cork on a Gentleman Jack Bottle we said sure! Boy, that gives new meaning to smooth bourbon!
But here's a thought for you bourbon lovers, the Single Barrel version is bottled into 40 cases. Of JD's best... and since we know someone who runs a store (and who just took the tour) we could 'subscribe' and get 40 of us to go in and buy a barrel! Now that must be some great Tennessee Whiskey. :-)
