Off the road in Arkansas Tuesday

Here is a picture from the river's edge of the west side of the Mississippi River.  That was the original reason to head on our trip and this is as far west as we are going.

Riding up the road that parallels the river it was very windy and very flat (along the delta). We watched one freight train run on the far side of a field and we could see the engines and the rear.

It was very hot this afternoon so it feels good to be inside where the air conditioner is trying to run.  They are forecasting storms overnight but they may turned 'scattered' tomorrow.

408 miles today... 2,011 miles total so far since Friday.

  1. Bob;
    Al Holmes and I think of you fellas every day. The news is awash with reports of storms and tornadoes. No mention of them in your blog so I guess you guys are safe.
