We took another federal parkway (Like the B R P and the Natchez Trace) called the Trace in the Land between the Lakes in KY and TN. Great road through a preserve.
It's kind of like the Quabbin where the government took private land to flood a valley for the water resources.
One thing they did was to repopulate Bison and Elk in the area. They have a road through the preserve area but motorcycles are not allowed as the Bison look at them as a challenger to their turf. Further up the road we saw a small heard near the road and took some pictures.
We came into Dover, TN where Ft Donlson is and came across a personal Confederate Museum where the man has collected artifacts from the war that he has found working construction over the past 40 years.
Stopping for lunch now... and yes Marcia, Maury is having a (taco) salad.
